BBK Performance was founded in 1988 by brothers Brian and Ken Murphy, along with their friend Barry Morrison, with the goal of creating high-performance parts for vehicles equipped with electronic fuel injection, a burgeoning market in the 1980s. The company started by producing throttle bodies for the Ford Mustang 5.0L, but quickly expanded its product line to include air intake systems, headers, and fuel system components, all designed to enhance vehicle performance while maintaining OEM quality.
